Last night, around 9pm, a WAYMO vehicle was parked without it’s lights on 4100 South Shepherd Drive. You might know this street as the location all the accidents have been occurring at. It was an extremely dangerous parking spot as late night traffic was flying down Shepherd towards the freeway. I parked behind it and conducted a “traffic stop”. I put that in quotes because it was sort of funny. The car was running. There was no driver. There was no nobody. I located a sticker on the windshield that said “Law Enforcement Contact Phone Line” so I called it. I spoke to a Waymo operator who said the vehicle believed it was in a legal parking spot and was waiting to receive a call. I heard her type a few keys from her end of the phone and suddenly the WAYMO car went into drive and started moving, turning onto Milford. It was weird.
